Milford Fire Crews Knock Down Basement Fire on Milford Hunt Lane
The Milford Fire Department responded to a basement fire at a home on Milford Hunt Lane shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday. All occupants had evacuated by the time crews arrived, and Engine 7 extinguished the fire in what appeared to be a utility closet. No injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.

The Milford Fire Department extinguished a basement fire at a home on Milford Hunt Lane on Saturday night, with all occupants escaping safely before crews arrived.
According to the department, Engine 7 was first on scene at approximately 9:45 p.m. and reported smoke coming from the house. The homeowner met the engine company in the front yard and confirmed that everyone had made it out of the house and that flames were visible in the basement.
Engine 7 made entry through the garage and attacked the fire from there into the basement, extinguishing the blaze in what crews described as a utility closet. Additional units on scene conducted primary searches to confirm that all occupants were accounted for and positioned ladders around the home.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
