Plan b Burger Bar to Close Milford Location After 15 Years
Plan b Burger Bar, the casual burger-and-bourbon restaurant at 1638 Boston Post Road, will close its doors on Sunday, June 14, ending a 15-year run in Milford, the company announced this week.
The closure was first reported Tuesday by WTNH News-8, citing a public relations firm representing the business. According to the statement, the parent company, Plan b Restaurants, decided not to renew the lease for the Milford location.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Town of Milford, our loyal guests, and especially the team members who made this restaurant such a special place for the past 15 years," Allie J. Gamble, founder and CEO of Plan b Restaurants, said in the statement. "The relationships built here and the memories created with our guests and team will always be an important part of our story."
The Milford location, which sits on the Boston Post Road just east of the I-95 corridor, was known for its handmade-patty burgers, rotating whiskey and bourbon selection, and a casual neighborhood-bar atmosphere.
A Shrinking Footprint
The Milford closure continues a contraction for Plan b Restaurants. The chain closed both its West Hartford and Hartford locations in August 2025, and shuttered its Southington location in May 2026. At its peak, the company operated 11 locations across four states.
After Sunday's closure, Plan b will have two remaining Connecticut locations: Glastonbury and Simsbury, both of which the company said will remain open.
What's Next for the Space
The 1638 Boston Post Road property has not yet announced a new tenant. The Milford Times has reached out to the property owner for comment on the future of the site and will update this article if information becomes available.
For now, Plan b will continue regular service through Sunday, June 14. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
