Sorrento Cafe & Wine Bar Coming to Downtown Milford
MILFORD — A new Italian-inspired cafe and wine bar is headed to downtown Milford, taking over a familiar River Street location.
Sorrento Cafe & Wine Bar will open at 9 River St., the former home of Strega. The establishment is targeting a January opening, according to a recent Facebook post announcing that signage has been installed at the location.
The new spot promises to blend Italian tradition with modern sensibility. "Sorrento evokes the charm of an Italian cafe and offers our patrons the experience of eating in Italy," the business states on its Facebook page, describing itself as "a modern dining destination that blends the warmth of Italian inspiration with a fresh, contemporary twist."
The restaurant will feature a wine list with selections from around the world.
Strega, which previously occupied the space, has relocated to Chapel Street in downtown New Haven.
